Arrest over robbery which injured security guard

The security guard was treated in hospital for stab wounds
A man has been arrested in connection with a robbery in which a security guard was seriously injured in East Ayrshire.

The 52-year-old guard was attacked at the Tesco store in Auchinleck, at about 2325 BST on Tuesday.

He was taken to hospital and treated for stab wounds to his body.

Police said a 30-year-old man had been arrested and detained in custody in connection with the robbery. A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
